This is the first time, I not only posted to a blog, but have even been introduced to the blogging community. I find the idea of putting my thoughts out into the world pretty interesting. The purpose of this blog is to connect with other mothers in the similar situation that I find myself in.
I am a 31year old mother of 4. My kids range in ages from 6 to 6 weeks, 3 boys and 1 little girl. I find myself out of shape with not enough time to do anything about it...or so I thought, until my loving husband introduced me to a workout that seems to fit my schedule. Of course I want to loose weight and get back to feeling good, but most importantly I'd like to avoid the dreaded mom butt. I'm too young and too active for this to happen to me, so I'm going to chronicle my journey back to my pre-baby body with three goals in sight. First, in less then a month I have to put on a ball gown and accompany my husband to a formal ball. Sounds like fun, unless you just had a baby and can't fit into anything because your back fat is poking out or your gut still makes you look pregnant. Fun times. Next, I'd like to get back into shape to start training for a marathon that I've had my eye on for a few years. Then my final phase is to actually train for the marathon and successfully complete it. The greater goal here is to actually juggle all of the responsibilities that I have going on as well as be able to work out.
I'm not sure if anyone will really read this, but if you do, please excuse my grammar and any other mistakes that I might make. I'm just hoping to write and not worry about offending anyone by my thoughts or spelling mistakes.
I'd also like to pull some other moms into this project and have them post as well. I think it might be fun and add more to the content to get others thoughts on what they are going through too.
So here we go.
I'd follow your Mom butt any day. Can't wait to be your neighbor and running buddy in VA. Best of luck as you get out there!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to it. I miss having a motivated partner to train with, other then the hubby.
